A Letter Logo Design in Illustrator | Adobe Illustrator Tutorials

I am very excited to share with you a fresh and modern logo design tutorial in Adobe Illustrator. This time we are creating a letter A logo in illustrator software with cool colors and a youthful mood.

To build this Logo we have used only the ellipse tool with the shape builder tool for the shape merge & delete. If you want to learn how to design an A-letter logo in Illustrator, check out the below video and you can draw this logo by following the step in the below section.

Here is the step so you can build your own letter logo design in adobe illustrator software.

STEP 1: Document Setup

Hit Ctrl/Cmd+N to open up a New canvas for logo design. Select the Web-Large option or you can select the canvas size as per your need.

STEP 2: Using the Type Tool

We want to create A Letter Logo so we use the Type tool with Type "V" via keyboard and choose the font & size but remember one thing we want to choose a bold typeface.

I suggest using Nexa Font with a Bold typeface to be too bold and nice for the logo.

Now you want to convert the V letter into shape and rotate 90 degrees.

STEP 3: Using Ellipse Tool

Now we want to use Ellipse Tool (Short Key "L"). Set the ellipse as per the youtube video If you don't see so you can watch out the A Letter Logo Design Illustrator video here.

STEP 4: Using Shape Builder Tool

We have arranged all circles as per our requirement so now we want to convert all circles into fill and no-stroke.

You can check out the below image, we apply different colors for different circles so we know exactly which part we want or which part to delete. It's too easy for understanding how our letter logo looks.

If you merge the two shapes so use the Shape Builder tool (Short Key "SHIFT+M") and if you want to delete any shape from selecting multiple shapes so use the Alt key with the Shape Builder tool.

STEP 5: Apply Single Color OR Gradient Color

Now, check the below image so you can better understand how to look after using the Shape Builder tool.

Now our A Letter Logo is almost ready for use in branding. We can apply too many colors to this logo but we need to know about color theory so we can give the best outcome. 

It's the flat logo so you can use one color but if you want a gradient color so it's too good also.
